Concrete Infrastructure Research Group (CIRG)

A most exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join our active and diverse Concrete Infrastructure Research Group (CIRG) at the University of Cambridge. The funded PhD studentship will focus on mitigating the environmental impact of cement via performance based methodologies.

Recently listed as the happiest place to live and work in the UK, the city of Cambridge offers a place to thrive both academically and socially. The successful applicant would join a supportive research group that is based at the state-of-the-art Civil Engineering building and meets for weekly catch-ups. The Concrete Infrastructure Research Group develops sustainable infrastructure, through an improved understanding of existing infrastructure assets, the use of new materials, and the creation of innovative structural solutions.
