CIRG members Swasthi Surendran and Susan Thapa recently presented their work at the Cambridge Civils Event hosted at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. The event included presentations by all civil, structural and environmental engineering students at the University of Cambridge and was sponsored by Cowi, AtkinsRealis, SOM, Mott MacDonald, Engenuiti, Gavin and Doherty Geosolutions, WSP, Smith and Wallwork Engineers and Aecom. At the event, Susan presented his thesis, 'Fresh state concrete performance using computer vision', and Swasthi presented her thesis, 'Performance-based Investigation of Cement Replacement Mixes'. Both CIRG members received praise for their confident and clear presentations. Furthermore, Swasthi was presented with a prize for her work, in recognition of the outstanding presentation and contribution made. Well done to Swasthi and Susan.
