Many congratulations to CIRG team members Rachel Fallow and Melissa Nash who both won project presentation prizes at the June 2021 Cambridge 'Civils' Conference for Civil Engineering MEng students, staff and industry sponsors. Rachel spoke about her work on the bond strength of steel reinforcement in functionally graded concrete whereas Melissa described experimental and analytical studies on the sulfate attack of layered concrete. Rachel and Melissa have been working with the CIRG team while undertaking their final year MEng projects. The team held a socially distanced pizza party to celebrate.
