Concrete Infrastructure Research Group (CIRG)

Dr Marcus Maier has recently joined the CIRG as a Research Associate. Marcus studied for his PhD at the University of Innsbruck in Austria and prior to coming to Cambridge worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Singapore at the Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore (BEARS). His research focuses on the use of low cement concrete materials in functionally graded structures to acheive specified performance requirements and meaningful CO2 reductions.

The Concrete Infrastructure Research Group develops sustainable infrastructure, through an improved understanding of existing infrastructure assets, the use of new materials, and the creation of innovative structural solutions.
